Eau Claire Healthy Communities is hosting their Annual Celebration! The event has two goals: to celebrate progress towards healthier lives for residents and to build capacity to address substance abuse. The keynote speaker for the event is Carl J. Alves, a leading expert on substance abuse prevention. Carl will lead an interactive presentation for attendees. He will also share success stories from other communities.

Everyone is welcome at the Celebration on Thursday, April 25th from 5:15-7:30pm. Event is at Chippewa Valley Technical College Business Education Center, 620 West Clairemont Avenue. Register online at: bit.ly/ECHCcelebration2019.

Celebration attendees will:

• Celebrate the 2019 Eau Claire Healthy Communities Champion Award Winners.
• Learn how substance abuse is affecting our communities.
•Identify ways we can to take action.

“We have plenty to celebrate in Eau Claire! We’ve made improvements on many health issues. But there is still work to be done to better help our neighbors,” says Dr. Mark Gideonsen, Co-Chair of Eau Claire Healthy Communities Council.
